I have heard many variations of the definition of art, but this is the first time i have heard the word 'transmission' is being used. The original illustration is created by combining my two love of graphic, shōjo manga (少女漫画), and botanical watercolour illustration. Perhaps i was transmitting my own wave of varied emotions: love, loneliness and devastation on equal measure. Feelings and flowers are, both, equally fleeting and beautifully transient. Strangely hypnotizingly healing, shedding tears into the void when our own eyes can no longer do so.
